Is 94 proof rum really that much stronger than 74 proff?

I have only ever had 74 proof, and I usually mix it with OJ. Will 94 be much stronger? I am guessing it will, but rum has never really gotten me that drunk, just tipsy, should I drink less of the 94 proof? I don't want to get sick, but a nice buzz would be good
