How to commit to Buddhism?

Im 20 and have only recently discovered Buddhism. Ive never considered myself particularly religious and no offense to anyone but I don't agree with the Christian teachings. However, when I discovered Buddhism I found that my own personal views followed Budist teachings. Im not your average 20 year old girl you see, im mostly reading or out walking, and meditate instintively anyways. Want I want to know is how do I properly pratice Buddhism? Also, living in a Christian country im abit weary over telling people i follow Buddhism and that they will think its weird. Thanks.
