Did Americans always enjoy full employment before the Progressive Era?

We enjoy it until the liberals come in and muck up the job market. Like manufacturing you can not make things in the USA because of liability laws one mistake and you are out of business. Plus the tax rate drives people aka company(s) to other countries that are cheaper to work in. This is a great way to have brain drain in that our smart leave for greener pastures. This is of course the Democrat agenda if everyone is equally worthless then no one requires a salary increase. Thus producing a market with fixed prices. However the market is bare because there is no incentive to make goods. So basically the dream of Democrats is you are standing at the store with a wad of cash in your hand but there are no items to purchase so your money is worthless.
